Decorative brickwork pays 2–3× the rate of standard work. Clients who commission feature walls, arches, and decorative facades expect — and pay for — skill.

This five-day programme trains your hand and your eye. You leave with a portfolio of completed panel work and the pricing knowledge to sell it.

What you'll leave able to do

  • Build brick arches (semicircular and segmental)
  • Lay herringbone, basket-weave, and soldier courses
  • Design and build feature walls and facades
  • Price decorative work accurately
  • Read detailed architectural brick drawings

Curriculum

Day 1

  • Soldier and sailor courses
  • Decorative joints and recessed pointing
  • Curved wall basics

Day 2

  • Herringbone — diagonal and 90°
  • Basket-weave patterns
  • Framing decorative panels with borders

Day 3

  • Semicircular arch construction
  • Segmental arch construction
  • Corbelling and projecting courses

Day 4

  • Feature wall design and execution
  • Mixing patterns within a single wall
  • Matching new work to existing

Day 5

  • Pricing decorative work — materials, labour, time
  • Client communication and samples
  • Final assessment panel build
