Why slices instead of plaster and paint
No repainting
Paint fades and needs redoing. The colour of fired clay is in the clay itself.

Each slice is real fired clay with a brick face, not a printed tile or a paint effect.
Fits the wall you have
At 13 mm thin, slices add almost nothing to the wall and are fixed much like wall tiles.

Prepare the wall
The surface must be sound, clean and flat: rendered blockwork or concrete. Remove paint and any loose or cracked plaster first.

Fix the slices
Each slice is bedded in exterior-grade tile adhesive, with 10 mm gaps between slices.

Point the joints
The gaps are filled with mortar, just like a brick wall.

Leave it exposed
No plaster and no paint. The clay face is the finish.
We can fix them for you at GH₵55 per m² for labour (adhesive and mortar extra), or your own tiler or mason can. If yours has not done slices before, we will talk them through it.

What are brick slices?
Thin pieces of fired clay, 13 mm thick, with the same face as a full brick (203 × 64 mm). Fixed to a wall, they give it the look of a brick wall.
How much do brick slices cost?
GH₵2 per slice, which is GH₵128 per m² of wall at 64 slices per m². Fixing by our mason is GH₵55 per m² for labour. Adhesive, pointing mortar and delivery are extra and shown on your written quote.
Can I put them on my existing house or fence?
Yes, if the wall is sound, clean and flat. Remove paint and any loose or cracked plaster first. Rendered blockwork and concrete are good surfaces.
Do they need painting?
No. The colour is fired into the clay, so the face is left exposed. There is nothing to repaint.
Is every slice the same colour?
No. Fired clay varies naturally, from buff to orange-red with darker flashes, as the photos on this page show. Ask us for photos of the batch for your order.
How many slices do I need?
64 per m² with 10 mm joints. Use the calculator on this page, then send us your measurements. Doors and windows reduce the quantity; corners and cuts add to it.

We can: fixing by our mason is GH₵55 per m² for labour (adhesive and mortar extra), and your quote confirms availability for your area. Or your own tiler or mason can fix them with exterior-grade tile adhesive, then point the joints with mortar. If they have not done slices before, we will talk them through it.
